Lyssa Logue

Certified Baby and Child Sleep Consultant

Hi! I'm Lyssa and I reside in Saint Petersburg, FL with my husband, 9 year old daughter and 2 fur-babies, Max and Bowden. My "day job" is pediatrician but I've become passionate about helping children and families get better sleep.

I joke that my child did not sleep for 8 years but it isn't entirely untrue - from a colicky infant stage to stubborn toddler and big fears in preschool years, we have worked through it all. There were nights that I truly thought I would never sleep solidly again!

As a practicing pediatrician, you would think that I learned a lot about sleep in my training, however it became very apparent when I had my own daughter how much knowledge I was lacking. I remember being told by one of her doctors to just lock her in her room when she was barely a year old - and thought, there must be another way!

Alongside our own personal struggles with sleep, I was hearing from my patients and families at work about their own sleep issues - and I knew there must be a way that I could help them more too.

I started reading anything I could about sleep, attended conferences and spoke to pediatric sleep medicine doctors to educate myself and help my families. When I decided that I wanted to become certified as a sleep consultant, I wanted to learn from the best so I enrolled in the well-renowned Family Sleep Institute (FSI).

Through FSI, I completed over 250+ hours of science and evidence based sleep education from the nation's top sleep experts, as well as practical experience to customize plans for individual families to get their child sleeping better! The success that I have had with my clients is so rewarding that I wanted to offer it to more families than just my patients - and Snugglebug (the nickname I call my daughter) was born!

About Sleep Consultation

Why do I need a sleep consultant?

If you are like me, you have probably read countless books on sleep, conducted 3am Google searches, asked for advice on Facebook mom groups and just plain wondered if there was something wrong with your child!

The information you consume can be contradictory and opinionated - what works for one family may not work for another, something that worked for your family in the past may not be working anymore, or you just may not have any idea what to do.

That's where I come in.

There are multiple aspects to a successful sleep plan

Sleep Environment

Daily Schedule

Timing

Parental role

Through a detailed intake form and virtual consultation, we figure out your family's sleep goals and the best method to achieve them, resulting in a customized plan for your family.

During the implementation of  your plan, you get real time support to keep you on track, tweak schedules, keep you motivated and celebrate success!
